Comments from original post: An interesting 8 bore muzzle loading rifle dating from 1850. This rifle comes complete with all tools and bullet moulds required. The rifle was regulated for a 1390 grain conical bullet delivering 1550 feet per second muzzle velocity. I can put this into better prospective for you...the rifle will yield a muzzle energy of midway between modern day .577 and .600 Nitro Express rifles, quite impressive for a rifle celebrating her 164th Birthday this year.

What a beautiful, vintage 8 bore rifle. It is a very powerful rifle and very nice that it comes with its original tools.

That looks like it. He had a bunch of good pics on his web site of it long after it was sold. That thing is extremely nice. Had the case and all the tools and mold. It shot a big pointed bullet.

Call Lewis and Drake
I haven't spoken with them in years, but they're your best bet on contacting whoever has the rifle.
