TKS Ed. Beautiful rifle indeed. That ladder sight is quite interesting, considering it's length for longer range shooting, not usual for such a beastly caliber.

Bearing in mind it shoots a patched round ball, might not be quite so bad. 6 1/2 drams of fine gunpowder in the words of the late William Baldwin. Lovely piece, like my own light 12 gauge rifle it uses a Pat 53 style lock. Ver nice.

178gr. powder is not too bad, I guess.
Looks maybe 16 to 18 pounds. Usable for deer stalking.
