Where to get .730 paradox ammunition?

Gentlemen,

Are there any custom reloaders, or paradox specialist out there that could help make a range of bullets for a .730 paradox gun?

I keep hearing the name Ross Seyfried, but after an extensive google search, I can not find any contact information. Thank you.

Thank you!

Re: Where to get .730 paradox ammunition?

Tell us about your paradox gun.

Although you might be able to get someone to develop ammunition for your particular gun, the process takes time and can get expensive.
Part of running one of these special hunting guns is doing the load development.

Start here and we'll see what we can do for you.

Cheers

Re: Where to get .730 paradox ammunition?

There were a couple of articles in Double Gun Journal several years ago in which the author went through details of getting a 12b Paradox to shoot correctly. You should refer to those articles for that information.

I doubt you will find anybody willing to load for you.

Holland & Holland currently makes and markets ammunition for the 12b Paradox. Call their gunroom in Dallas at (212) 752 7755. I would expect their ammunition to be hellishly expensive.

Basically you need a bullet mould, a push-through sizer, and some rudimentary 12 gauge loading tools.

Re: Where to get .730 paradox ammunition?

Has anyone tried using the Lyman 12 bore Sabot slug. I saw someone enlarge the mould for full 12 bore size, by using a lathe and boring bar to make the front band, and rear skirt larger, along with turning the waist into a normal grease groove.
That would be the cheapest paradox mould there is.
Our own Mike Rowe here has made normal paradox moulds, however I do not know if he still does this work.

I have several Paradox cherries here with which to cut moulds.

Graham Wright's excellent book, Shooting the British Double Rifle 2nd edition (I think it was called) has a very informative chapter in it about reloading for paradox guns and the Bore - projectile sizes required.

That will do it. Seems to me, a Lee hand die set would likely work.

I had forgotten about Mike Rowe's moulds. Need to check with him.
