The centerpiece of the Northern Territory Arms Collectors display of historical and heritage arms at the local rural show on the weekend was the Alex Henry 8-bore double. That simple display elicited much comment from the general public, especially the younger show-goers, as well as the odd quip about "pathetic Englishmen shooting helpless elephants". Fortunately the latter were a tiny minority compared with those who appreciate that such reminders of our past are being well cared for by serious collectors today. "Well cared for" of course implies warming its barrels every so often! |

Tink: Unfortunately not mine but temporarily in the custody of a good friend. It has been living in my town for a while however and has recently changed hands so may be moving interstate. We are trying to convince the new owner that he would be better off moving here instead! |

Quote: Good stuff mate. I didn't realise the show was a public ie non shooting crowd show until now. Excellent work in providing the positive PR to the non shooting public. Quote: I can imagine. How can you show this despicable piece of man's barbarity to his fellow animal-human being creatures?! Quote: Excellent. |
