The Real Story Behind the Infamous “Alberta Grizzly” Back in the days of chain emails, word got around about a killer grizzly taken by a hunter in Alberta. This is what actually happened BY TYLER FREEL | PUBLISHED APR 25, 2022 https://www.outdoorlife.com/hunting/stor...sFcDmId2ofKKmUE |

Yes I remember when it first started hitting the email trail. I knew right away looking at the bear in the pictures that there is no way it was from Alberta and was a "Coastal" bear. The story kept getting better as time went by and guys added some pictures of mangled portions of some cadavers anatomy. The location of the bear getting killed changed a few times as well. I had the pictures return in emails that said the bear was killed in British Columbia once and in another the Yukon. I will never understand what makes people do stupid BS like the manufacturing of false stories, but I guess it is a sign of the times and the internet seems to bring out the worst in a lot of people. It is a great bear. |

Ripp, Thanks for posting this story. It looks like a very impressive, mature boar and the hunting story is good. |
