They were extremely large bears, weighing more than 1 ton (1000 kg) and standing up to 12 feet (3.7 m) tall.
Despite their enormous stature, the bear could run up to 40 miles per hour (64km per hour).

Makes you wonder how does a species die out like that, their food supply is abundant, they're omnivores, just have to hunt/eat more often?

Is that bear purposely "gender neutral"?
Female?
Female that identifies as something else"
Male bear that has visited Trinidad, CO and undergone "gender reassignment" surgery? 
Like I said, just curious given the Du Jour woke and PC climate……oh, and is it possibly wearing a "merkin" to look more natural?
