Bos try these http://homepages.ihug.com.au/~grhunt/suppliers.htm BP is hard to get because it's considered an explosive, you can only pick it up in person or pay with a kidney for someone qualified in handling/transporting that sort of dangerous goods. Cheers |

It is possible to get Swiss here in Oz, but normally the BP guys do a big order & then do a run & get it themselves. Possible to get it through your local club as well - if they do BP. Picking up is always a problem when you're not in a Capital city - bloody long drive for me. Cheers |

I was told Green River did close some time ago. Pity, as it was close by but did have unusal hours. Always was closed when I tried to go there, except once or twice! I buy my black powder from Graeme Forbes in Melbourne when over there. Can only buy 5 kg in a single day per Vic law. So it has to last in between interstate trips. As for transporting powders SA reportedly has especially bad laws for transporting any commercial freight of explosives including smokeless powders. At one time was hard to get any propellants. Haven't tried for a long time as I had enough on hand since. |

Mate, Alan from Green River has finished up with retailing but will repair a lock if you are not in a hurry, he does a damn fine job particularly flintlocks. I just buy in parts via the net, Track of the Wolf etc, at worst you may need a B79 import form from your local police dept. Forbes over east do carry a lot of black powder stuff to. Powder is always an issue as we only get one over seas shipment a year and it is classified as explosive, try you nearest Black Powder Shooting club. Cheers Gordon |

For locks I would definitely get a B709 to bring them into Australia, but just bought a replacement one by mail without issues inside Australia. |
