Mauser M03 Barrels

There was a Vid on you tube by Pete Moore saying ,they would be making M03 barrels again ,wondered if anyone else had heard anymore on this ,as the supply of everything M03 has dried up .they Mauser parts would still be made ,no idea what ''parts'' .

I misunderstood. I thought he was making barrels. Getting through the waffle on the video, Mauser is allegedly making barrels again.

I still need a replacement .222 magazine too.

Re: Mauser M03 Barrels

Out of the barrels he mentions from memory includes:

6.5x55,
.243,
.308,
.30-06,
8x57,
.270,
9.3x62
all in 22 inches

7mm Rem Mag,
.300 Win Mag,
.375 H&H Mag

25.5 inch barrels.

Interesting to see the good old standard cartridge choices. None of the extra special wannabe cartridges the ammo and gun makers have ad nauseum tried to foist on the market over the decades.

Alas no 7x57!

I'd love a 9.3 and a .375 Mag barrel. Very similar. But having a barrel means one can play with it, no need for a whole extra rifle. Mounts and scopes of course need also to be sourced.

I think it was £1,050 per barrel.

If they made 6.5x55 not only in 22" butv25.5" I'd have a look to see if one could becrechambered to 6.5x68. Assuming twist, chamber and rechsmbering could be considered to be aorkable.

$$$? Always a problem.

Must have a look at the Mauser website.

Always the "great" service and customer support by Mauser/Blaser:

0 products found for "M03"

They do push their crap Mauser 12 and 18 instead of course. Give it a handfull of years and those models will nondoubtbbe dropped and no longer supported. Just like the 66, 77, M03, and whatever other forgotten models they have introduced, dropped and provide zero customer service for.

It's such a pity the brand is the name holder of the great old Mauser 98 with their incredibly low service and low quality attitude.

Gunco appears to still have some rifles, but nothing else ,Mauser isnt giving their name any favours with their lack of service, despite their waffle about ''MAUSER'' on their ads they had ,''The Legend '' ,yeah ledgendary bad service to their buyers ! ,i mean a Unique scope mounting system ,and they no longer make mounts ! so your screwed there too .

Luckily I did buy some extra mounts rings. I have 2x M03 barrels. Four barrels. I haven't used them all yet. Think I have maybe 6 sets of mount rings? I'd like a couple of sets for the 8x68S. Can't remember if I have only 25mm, or some 30mm as well. I think I do. Some scopes are 35 mm now though.

It's amazing if the rings are different for the M12 and M18? Is that correct? Why?

Re: Mauser M03 Barrels

Not sure about the M12 and M18 rings ,same deal as the multiple barrel rifle ,means selling less rifles and they want Numbers out the door .............= more $$
