ZKK 600, 601 mainspring
|
I am in need of several mainsprings for 601's and a 600. Can they be cut down from 602 mainsprings? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry I missed this thread the first time round, LSHopper. DPCD on the AR forum went through this same problem last month. He got no satisfaction from CZ USA, so he ordered a 602 spring from Wolff, which he was then to shorten. That suggests that it's do-able, since Tom seems to know his stuff. Be advised, however, if you're going on AR with anything relating to Brno/CZ: Be sure to wear your athletic cup. You're going to be subjected to the usual American rants about the "dangerous" and "backward" CZ safety that's responsible for countless deaths and orphaned children every year.

Yes, that was me he is doing that for. I now have 6 of these, so I am confident in there "backwards" safety. Now that I know the 602 spring will work, all of my bases are covered.

I have never had difficulty understanding nor any use problems with CZ or BRNO safeties. I've had & used both. My current CZ's still have this apparent affliction.
I just do not understand the problem. As well, the swinging safety on my Model 70 Winchester is also backwards & works in the opposite direction to boot - no problem.
It is what it is and they are what they are.
