Gentlemen, I have a few H&H mounts lying around, I was going to try and put them on a a few of my rifles. I would like to do some in depth reading before I launch this project. I was curious if any of you had any tips or directions on how to do it? Thank you! |

A gunsmith friend of mine makes H&H mounts for M98's on a regular basis. He's adamant that each and every base should be made and fitted to an individual action as the tolerances vary so much. You may have to do a bit of fitting to make them fit on random rifles. |

Each mount is specifically made for an action and a scope. The adjustment tolerances are close to zero and it is almost impossible to use an assembly initially planned for an action and a scope on a different action and for another scope without a large work of close fitting. Despite this, the result is rarely satisfactory. It is the same for claw mounts as, in fact, the H&H mount is a variation. Courage ... and good luck! DORLEAC www.dorleac-dorleac.com |

They are mounts made for/by Rigby that I will be putting on a Rigby, modern mounts, pre war gun. So hopefully itll be close enough. A good amount of hand fitting was originally planned. |
