Gun decision - Dakota versus AHR CZ upgrades...

Looking at buying or building a 416 Rigby bolt rifle. Does it make more sense to buy a CZ550 rifle and send to AHR to have option #3 completed - or just buy a like new/used Dakota African for approximately the same price (around $4500)? Was initially looking at picking up a Ruger RSM, but these rifles truly have more appeal to me. Any other options I should look at in the same price range?
I thought once I decided on caliber (for hippo and buffalo) that the rest would be easy, but I was wrong.

I'll opt for a CZ550 sent to AHR. This way you can get exactly what you want in length of pull, sights etc

Wayne has done two guns for me. A 300Weatherby and a 375h&h. Both are perfect! I would not buy a CZ to send him. Just get him to build you a full custom on a CZ action he provides.

have a serious look at the QD Red Dot sight & base arrangement.
I have one from Wayne on my CZ 550 in 404 - works a treat & doesn't get in the way when reloading

Also of note is the 'trigger' for the 600 & 602 BRNO's - I wounder what is involved there???

Best if you can handle them to see what you think. The CZ may finish out heavier than the Dakota. Wayne has worked on a lot of rifles for me and he does good work, but only one is a CZ.

Agree--personally I really like the more svelte proportions of the Dakota.. CZ is a great firearm..but do not care for their factory stocks..
