mauser carbine

a friend bought a gunmaker special as a brush gun and I had it here for polishing the steel, blueling and fire blueing the small parts and give the stock some oil again. it will go than into the hands of another gentleman for blueing the barrel/receiver because I dont have such a big pot.
the carbine was build with different parts laying around once - old, used but excellent stock, unknown 98k action, late war mauser made welded and stamped sheet metal magazine and a 50 cm long barrel in 8x57IS. nothing very valuable but the combination makes a short rifle that fits you like a glove because of its handiness.

the 50 cm long barrel realy makes the difference, have some bolt actions but this would be fit into my safe too

the shultz&larsen is my shortest bolt action but this carbine makes it big again

take the iron sights of for blueing

Re: mauser carbine

Looks like a nice bitsa rifle on an old Husky stock.
