Churchill Mauser

Gentlemen, I have been offered a Churchill Mauser in 308 at a very low price by one of our customers. It is a sporterized military action with original bottom metal, thumb cutout and a flag safety etc. The serial number is 7517 and it has British proof marks, is marked as 308 and has white line spacers.
Does anybody know what action may have been used ?

I don't think it's a Santa Barbara with the thumb cutout
