Picked up the model 1900 today. Here's some photos of the proof marks. Austrian proofs. Dated 1902. Proof marks. NPV is 1929-1940 final smokeless proof, the EV is Vienna 1891-1928 Proof house stamp. Anyone have a clue about the 1359g. |

Quote: My 1922 proofed M1910 bears the NPv (Vienna proof house 'nitro proof') stamp as well as script 'EV'. Your 'T' in circle stamps indicate 'Tiegelgussstahl,' or 'crucible steel'. I've no idea about the '1359g.'. Stoeger, 1939: |

Perhaps an inspector's or batch number mark? I Kuduae doesn't know then it's a good chance lost to antiquity! Hopefully you'll find out Casper |

Afaik that NPv Vienna smokeless proofmark was used from 1899 on. No idea what 1859g may stand for. |
