1930s vintage DWM 477 - 6.5X54MS at Gunbroker
|
|
A Gunbroker auction for full box of 6.5X54 MS, DWM 477 with 'Nicorro' primers. Starting bid $39. USD: Gunbroker
Great 'case candy' for an M1903 Mannlicher Schoenauer!
'Nicorro' was a 'non corrosive' primer offered by DWM in the early 1930s.

That certainly would be nice to own, as you say, great case candy.

I have these (old Ebay purchase) for my M1910, along with a few rounds and some stripper clips that were actually in the case from Granddad's day:
Everything I've shot out of it (so far), I've made myself.

Could use those as well as embellishments. Same previous post.

I'm sure you'll like it. Some people complain about recoil in such a light rifle with steel buttplate. Mine has never hurt me. Just keep 'er tight to the shoulder.
The real beauty of the MS is how the stock geometry works for 'snap shooting', especially with the iron sights. Sight acquisition when brought quickly to the shoulder is superb.
