Thanks for the pictures lancaster. Since getting my M.1909 Schonzietbocksen last month, I have developed a real interest in the rare Haenels. I would surely like to find an affordable one in 7x57 although, I certainly would not turn my nose up at a 6.5 such as you pictured.

Thanks Lancaster.
I will drop a few more pictures. The gun is about 450km away from here and paperwork must be added.
Its a rare rifle. Have only seen them in old catalogs.
The Zeiss zielacht it self is a rare duck..

Seems to be a M1909, grade St.P. Nr.6: Round barrel, double set trigger, stock with cheekpiece and reinforcements. Description from a contemporary Haenel catalog:
6.5x57 not mentioned, but the "Suhler 6.5" was certainly available on special order.

Well done rigbymauser, very nice piece of kit there mate! The bolt looks like a cross between a mannlicher & a Mauser, must be certainly strong enough as it came in some pretty hot cartridges. You'll have to make sure you add the reloading data in when you get the chance, whatever is 'old' in new again - the 6.5 Creedmore.

I have one with octagon to round full rib done by Otto Bock. Claw mounted scope.
