Projectiles, Nosler Partition

Hello, folks. I'm interested in reading what others think of the Nosler Partition as a projectile
For heavy game. Thoughts? I've used it in 100gr through my
.250-3000 with stellar results, as well as 140gr in 7mm08 and 220gr in
.300 H&H mag. I'm sure you're aware of velocities... But has anyone experienced
Bullets blowing apart when pushed to true magnum speeds
Or if used as light bullets in cases capable of velocities in excess of 3000fps? Yes, I use
Certain calibres for hunting deer and water buffalo here in OZ, but what
Do others think of the partition as a heavy calibre when fired fast?

Re: Projectiles, Nosler Partition

Great results with 300gr Nosler partitions on 1 spike moose and one Blackbeard out of a 375 Weatherby, If I recall correctly it was chrono'ed at 2750fps. The bullets exited the Black bear and she dropped to the shot. The moose also dropped right firkin there. Broke both shoulders, the lungs where a soupy mush and the recover billet weighed in at 211grs.

Re: Projectiles, Nosler Partition

I have used them quite a lot, found them to do what they are supposed to do. Blow the nose off, heaps of "shrapnel" in the wound channel then the left over sabot punches on through. Mostly use Woodleigh's now (closer in hunting for heavy punch) as I think they work better in their velocity range and am having success with ACP's in my longer range shooting (mostly punching steel plates) at faster velocities to flatten out the trajectory. Obviously just my current experience could change next year
