No, but I have a SXS 12 hammer best by WR Pape. This is a BP Proofed gun of 1st quality.
I have seen engraved pinfire revolvers retailed by Pape. I would stand to reason that there could be early Lee Speeds. WR Pape was credited with the encorporation of the choked barrel.

Pape lived from 1831 to 1923 and worked as a gunmaker in Newcastle in the north east of England from 1857. His business seems to have been carried on by his relation Victor until about 1937. The original records for the business have according to British Gunmakers vol 2 by Nigel Brown been acquired by Rodney Ford of 51 South End, Bassingbourn, Royston, Hertfordshire SG8 5NL tel 01763-243736.

Re: lee speed retailed by pape

I have a break top centerfire revolver by Pape. Most likely type sold to a military officer; 45cal with a 6 inch barrel plainly finished. A Lee Speed carbine would also be the type of arm sold to an officer serving abroad.
