Re: 5 calibers who have claimed to be the most powerful handgun

we will see what happen in future, it could not be the 500 S&W is the end now

there are most powerful handgun cartridges and there is the best handgun cartridge...
and the winner is 9 mm Parabellum!

I wouldn't call the the 9mm the best, define best of what.

I would be confident to say 9mm is pretty close to the most prolific.

Re: 5 calibers who have claimed to be the most powerful handgun

Since they are saying "the most powerful handgun" in production, would not the .45/70 production handguns be the most powerful?
The criteria not include the most powerful "handgun" ctg.
As with a lot of "the most" articles, their boundaries need to be tighter.
I would also say a blanket statement of the 9mm being the best, is also in error.
Boundaries need to be made once again.

Anyone else remember the Maadi-Griffin 50 BMG pistols and pistol kits in the back of Shotgun News?

Agree with you Daryl.. best is really a subjective term..Best at what??

I really like the 9mm --have a lot of them.. and for certain applications I do think it is best.. but do not consider it the end all or best all around.. at least not where I live.. As was mentioned, certainly one of the most prolific..

Same can be said for the others mentioned... I really like shooting the 44Mag..easy enough to throw a considerably powerful amount of lead down range in a reasonably accurate and quick manner.. for me, much more so than if I am shooting a .454..

These "MOST" articles are meant to draw attention to them but really are subjective and need to be taken with a grain or 5 of salt.. IMHO..

Easy. The .600 NE handgun. Premiered right here on NE about sixteen years ago on a video. By member Kamikaze.

Dangerous at both ends.

Started watching the video, and after a minute of rules and still more rules on the discussion to come ... fell asleep ... ie clicked close.
