I am not positive but don't think so..the one article I read stated the basically built the gun around the magazine as they wanted to have at least 10 rounds in a compact...the one thing I wish it did do however is accept magazines from the other Sigs like a Glock..if its a 9mm you can switch between the model 17,19,23,etc...but, I get it..cant have it all... and having a concealable compact holding 10 or 12 rounds..that is pretty cool..carrying an extra mag or two..quite a bit of firepower on a sub-compact..

G'Day Fella's,

Thanks for that Ripp.
Yes mag interchangeability would be nice but..... oh well still a great CCW pistol.

After further investigation ( I bought one ) NO, the 365 is NOT a compact version of the 320.. I recently purchased a 320 X-Frame..while reviewing the options I saw you can purchase the 320 model in a lot of different configurations, such as the carry model, compact model or regular size model..along with other options in between.. the 320 is an entirely different animal than the 365..have had both..got rid of the 365 as if was DOA from the factory (broken firing pin)..

I do really like the 320 X-Frame.. easy to shoot, accurate, nice trigger with a good reset for rapid fire..

Still hear various thoughts on the 365..some good and some bad..still plan to have one at some point, but will probably wait a bit to make sure the bugs are worked out..in the mean time will continue to carry my S&W Shield or Glock model 43 with extended clips for EDC...once colder weather hits, switch to Glock 19 or will use the Sig 320 X-Frame carry model..

Re: New Sig Sauer P365

Spent some time doing drills at the local indoor range yesterday-- per the mgr there whom I have become pretty good friends with .. the Sig 365 , they have there to rent has gone through 5,000 rounds without so much as a single hiccup... a bit different than my initial experience which I discussed with him.. I am trying another new and improved version for the next few months..so far have 300 rounds through it .. all good to this point...

Per the info I read online it appears Sig has remedied the initial problems .. see also that GUNS AND AMMO have shown it to be the "handgun of the year" ..not sure if that means its really good or if Sig has spent a ton of $$ advertising with them..

Plan to shoot the one I am using every week for the next few months..will advise
thx

Re: New Sig Sauer P365

Put another 240 rounds through the 365..

It really is a nice shooting handgun for being so small--have to admit I was switching between it and several others I had at the range..but, it is very easy to handle..very accurate and to this point no issues as to feed or reliability...

See GUNS AND AMMO just did a 8000 round gun test with 8 different double stack sub-compacts...Sig 365 got the nod for best --with the H&K coming in a close second..

Several items that are standouts with the Sig --comes with GOOD night sights, grips are easy to use and control..Trigger is awesome for a striker fired handgun..and holds 10 or 12 +1 --no one else offers that type of volumne in such a small handgun..NOT H&K, NOT GLOCK, NOT S&W,,, no one.. impressive handgun for EDC concealed..

Think you will be very impressed by this pistol--the more I shoot it the more I like it.. really like the 12 round mag..lets my bigger hands get a better grip/control on it.. great trigger..

Re: New Sig Sauer P365

OK.

Shoot straight.

This things gets lots of really bad reviews online.

Have they REALLY got stuff sorted out now and it is a sure bet?

BTW: My EDC, a Ruger LC9 {old hammer job} just failed. FP popped out the back of the gun. It served me VERY well till it didn't, and after the fact {circa 800-1000 rounds} found it has a very significant mechanical design flaw and I am going to dump it. I already have the newer striker version of the LC9 and like it very much, but am in the market. Have lots of LC9 mags, so might just get the striker myself, but...

I’m loving mine. More accurate than any pistol its size has a right to be. Easy to carry, forgiving to shoot. Perfect edc for me. Pocket or holster. Put about one thousand rounds through it first day out without incident.

15 round mags now available for the 365--

couple of those along with a 12+1 in the gun for CC in summer.. formidable defense..

Yes, if I was to get one, that is the one I would get as well.. have several with the red, can still use in bright sunlight with no issue.. but have also seen the green, think I like them better..

What you using for ammo out of yours??

I am amazed how accurate these little guys are.. really like it with the extended grip..

This is what I carry and practice with:
https://vizardsgunsandammo.com/buffalo-bore-ammunition-24b-20-9mm-luger-p-jhp-124gr-20box-12case/

When I want to just put a bunch down range I use the Speer 124gr

And I agree, these guns have no right being this accurate. It’s replaced my LCP on the small side and my 224 and 226 on the other end of the scale. Fantastic weapon imo.

Re: New Sig Sauer P365

Velocity seems high, at 1,300fps for a 124gr.- do that do that? Seems to me, that's more of a .38 Super load. Of course, I am thinking back to the 80's when I sad a 1911 in .38 Super.
I later changed it to .45 Auto (my "bear" gun) & was happier.

Our local indoor range has an 365XL to rent with the red dot on it.. plan to go run a few through it next week during my "range day"...

I did just get my 15 round mag in the mail yesterday from Sig.. carry it in addition to the 12 rounder in the gun..a lot of firepower in such a small package.. and very very accurate.. amazingly actually for the size ..

First time in my life where it seems "size" doesn't matter..

Looks good for fast shooting on man sized targets at reasonable close range.

How effective would it be for finer target shooting, like us plebs do? From the small image at the bottom of the article, not fine accuracy? For "SAS" work, could it be used for head shots?

No idea about the 365 but I carry a 320 Subcompact and it is an absolute laser. In fact, the whole P250/P320 platform is. Have shot ground squirrels and grouse with the P250 series which differs only in the DAO trigger.

Now reading more about the 365 it appears the bugs have been worked out.

FWIW: I carry one of two depending on clothes; a Ruger EC9S and the 320 SC. I ignore the safety on the Ruger so the manual of arms thus is exactly the same between pistols and the triggers are close, too, something very important as I've experienced and seen in training with others. {Amazing what number of slip-ups can occur when bouncing from one set of controls to another.}

Had the 365 been out and proven when I got my 320SC I might have gone that route and it seems a good one at this point. Then it was a bit shaky. Not uncommon for SIG, as much as I like them.

Thanks to RIPP for posting and giving us his experience. I've given up on rag reviews as they have proven over and over to be biased and nearly useless. Better to get the skinny from somebody who just reports the facts!
