This webley followed me home today.... Its a 1915 marked webley Mark V that was in .455webley but converted to .45acp with moon clips. Which is a shame but its getting converted back to .455 very soon. Overall a great old warhorse webley, my first ever and really looking forward to shooting it soon.Just thought I share a nice old pistol with y'all heres a few pics first one has the rare J.Bettie&Son Knife in it |

505Texan Great photos. For those not into pistols (like me), could you explain the "with moon clips.", where are they, what do they do etc and also, how did they convert the pistol from 455 to 45ACP ? I could have a guess but thought I'd get you to give me the proper information. Thanks |

Quote: The conversion done when that brought these over after WW1 I believe was done by shaving off the back of the Cylinder to except Moonclips which look like this http://www.midwayusa.com/Product/144819/ranch-full-moon-clip-45-acp-6-round-blue-package-of-8 and are made to hold the non-rimmed 45acp in place on the shaved cylinder |

If it's set up for clips, it should headspace and eject perfectly with .45 Auto Rim brass. |

That's a great looking revolver. I have a Mk VI that was converted to 45ACP - probably in the 1950's. I've always been very fond of the Webley revolvers. I have yet to find one of the 4" barreled models with the "birds-head" grip. Congratulations. |
