Russian target pistol shooting

Here's a pretty demanding little challange.

For those of you like me who don't read Russian, you have 30 seconds to fire three shots. The hold deteriorates badly after about 10 seconds, so it pays to shoot quickly. Move the pistol with the mouse and left click to fire the shot.

Apparently Russian scoring rules do not score shots on the line as the higher value (unfortunately).

I haven't been able to do better than 29 out of 30 yet. WARNING: It can be addictive. http://deti.mil.by/templates/swf/Pistol/index.swf

That is an excellent trainig tool!I managed to get 29 as well after a few practice sessions. Obviously haven't completely lost the knack after handing in my pistols for destruction 16 years ago.

Re: Russian target pistol shooting

That's fun - 28 and 29 regularly, but did get a 30, once.
I did manage a low of 25 and 26. 28 seemed quite easy. The pistol shoots just a bit low for me - the wide of the 9 ring.
Shot it 8 more times, got another 2, 30's (and a 25 rapid firing). That's cool. Shoots 1/2 the 9 ring's wide low for me.

Re: Russian target pistol shooting

I find myself holding at the edge of the "10" ring at about 9 o'clock. If the Russians scored hits on the line as the higher score, I would have had several 30's, too, but my 74 year old reflexes aren't all they used to be. Shot a lot of tight groups, however.

G'Day Fella's,

A mate of mine sent me this recently.
As XAUSA mentions, the pistol seems to shoot a bit to the right (and low)!
Given this, I have still been able to shoot multiple possibles (30 points), in just 1 second!!!
Get on target quick and then do a "Triple Tap", works for me!

Doh!

Re: Russian target pistol shooting

I find that I have to pay attention to the fundamentals to get good scores: control breathing, maintain sight picture, smooth pull, follow-through. On the other hand, wind is seldom a concern, and I haven't found it necessary to wear ear protection. ROR

This link doesn't work for me anymore. Anyone else having this problem. I tried Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome and get the same results.

30 pts in 6 sec.
One center bull, two on the line.
But then I'm a pistol shot...

PS. Yes - of course the shots touching the line should count as higher score.

Re: Russian target pistol shooting

still works for me
I tried Homer's rapid fire, instead of timed and the groups were excellent and easier to get all 10's. Difficult to get all inside tens, but tens' non-the-less.

I think I'll try it with a mirror, over my shoulder.

Yup.

Fire a burst and you get higher scores. Easy to get a 29.
