National Concealed Carry for Peace Officers

President Bush signed the law allowing Peace Officers and retired Peace Officers to carry anywhere in the nation if they are legally able to carry based on their departments rules. It is time for the old Reserve deputy system to be revived.
Is there anyone on this board Who uses this new law in those restrictive states in the eastern US that hate guns? How to the police there react now?

I am glad this thing finally got signed. I have worked many cases over the years on the eastern seaboard and upper midwest without any problems. Mostly it was don't ask don't tell before this measure. Even in NYC. Would not dream of being in any of the places we were without at least a couple of handguns on!!
