handload for .454casull

G'day to you all,
I have a question about my handloads.
It seems that the die won't resize them all the way to the rim, so they are left a little bluged out at the bottom. They slip into the cylanders fine, it just doesn't look right.

Another thing I have found with this gun is that it want REALLY tight crimps in order to get considtent ignition.

Anyone tell me why the last bit of case doen't get resized?

I think you will find it is solid brass and the die will only travel down the case till it meets the shell holder.

That seems to happen often with carbide sizing dies, you don't mention what kind of dies you are using. If your reloaded rounds still work and with no loss of brass, I wouldn't worry about it.
