One day
Are you selling or collecting (or both)?

Re: Purdey Trio

Mike,

Pictures were down for a moment due to the photo host updating there server last night. Please enjoy them now.

Jabal,

No plans on selling. I'm just a hunter, and collector of fine guns. The 369 is very rare, especially in this condition. Most of them have been re-chambered to 375H&H, and it's the ruination of a fine double.

You are indeed sinful and inspire others to be, lust, greed and envy!

Lovely rifles, and thanks very much for posting them.

Re: Purdey Trio

A few years ago I stopped in at Champlins and handled a Purdey double rifle. What a magnificent piece of workmanship.

Sinner, your collection is particularly nice. They are tastefully adorned. These fine machines need not be a canvas for artistry. They are sublime in form alone.

This makes me wonder. We, signally, must be the largest "group" of DR collectors. I think we once did a count a few years back.

Mike Bailey & Roscoe,

I’m sorry guys. I don’t know why you two can’t see the pictures, and the other members can. Are you on dial up for your internet perhaps, as the file may be to big for your computers cache? Let me know if I can help somehow.

Peter, John, Mehulkamdar, Nakihunter, hoppdoc, and Blair..

Thank you for all of your kind comments, my hope was that you all would enjoy seeing these in the "line up".

Re: Purdey Trio

Sinner,

There's nothing there at all.

I have a broadband connection.

When I click on the box with a red "x" where your picture is supposed to be it opens a new window with the URL

http://allyoucanupload.webshots.com/v/2002202308512494388

which comes up as nothing.

Guess I'll just sit this one out.

They loaded up for me yesterday. If they do again I will see about copying them to the NE server. The graphics file is one big picture (I think).

Those are exceptionally beautiful guns Sinner. If I were you, I'd probably keep them next to me in bed at night, and let my wife sleep on the floor!

Thanks for posting them for us to enjoy.

Re: Purdey Trio

I guess my computer, browser, internet security, or whatever is keeping me safe and warm. I still get nothing here on the thread here.

BUT much to my delight I awoke this morning to find that Sinner had graciously sent me his photos by email so I could join in the fun. Thanks!

I am taking the liberty to post the photos that Sinner sent me.

Maybe this will help some others like me who are having trouble seeing the photograph.

Thanks Sinner,
Curl

Re: Purdey Trio

Sinner,

I never forget a face.

Am I correct that the .369 Purdey is the same as the rifle featured here in this thread?

.369 Purdey

I had the pleasure to handle that rifle when it was in the hands of Steve Barnett at the 2006 Vintage Cup. What a beautiful rifle!

Re: Purdey Trio

I sold the gun to Barnett, he sold it to Jeff Wemmer, and I traded Jeff for it back.

It's a small world, and the guns go round and round between a few of us sometimes.

Ambar,

Thank you.

I sold the two Boss & Co DR's your referring to in January 08'. Bob Lee from Hunting World purchased them at SCI this year from me. I do have pictures, however, I no longer own the guns, and have to respect the new owner may not want them posted on the net.

Hope all is well in your world.

Cheers.
