It was probably advertised on the Westley Richards website so check there if it is still there for a price. Certainly out of the reach of my wallet. I posted the photos here as an example of a very nice double rifle as a permanent record. |

What no picture can ever depict is the smell of the degraded gun oil on the stock and metalwork that has oaked into the case lining- simply wonderful If only that smell could be bottled into modern oils ! That is one good looking rifle - here in the U.K the price on such a rifle would be in the bracket of £23,000 - £30,000 at a guess |

Indeed, I concur. The scent of a fine older gun surely impacts the price tag, too. And I can see the justification, too. I am puting that Purdey on my wish list! |
