Purdy shotgun repair/parts

I have a Purdy 28 guage under lever double barrel shotgun model 314 !/2, back lock that needs a tumbler. Where could I go for parts/repairs. I can provide photos

If it is a factory original gun send it back to Purdey.

You say "model 314 1/2", where on the gun does it say that? I believe Purdey's address for years was, "314 1/2 Oxford Street,"

Curious about this?
The description leaves me wondering if the whole tumbler is missing and needs a complete new one made, or if it is more a matter of broken sear or half cock notches, spring bridle, intercepting sear, or?

Someone has taken a center punch and drove a divot in the sear on the tumbler in ( I think) an effort to try to solve some problem. anyway the gun is now unsafe due to the damaged sear notch. It is going to OK to a repair service there that works with the Purdy firearms. I can repair most problems with guns but this is out of my league. As well as it being appraised at $25,000 I would rather an expert work on it.
You never know what will walk through the door for repairs.

Rolland member. Your centre punch description is my experience. That is why if the gun is original it should go back to the maker.

Re: Purdy shotgun repair/parts

If that's the only problem, you're looking at a relatively easy repair

Now, who would ship a $25,000.00 gun in this day an age????

??? ...Really? ….....Rock Island, Champlin, Hallowell, Griffin & Howe, the list goes on.
A few of us don't live within easy driving distance to do "cash & carry".
