And the overall, the strap keepers on the back are the dark colour and the strap keeper on the front matches the dark colour i used for the repair, maybe the lighter colour is original and the darker were previous repairs, the light keeper has reminants of a dark brown paint? force matching after the repair ?

Redyed the canvas looks pretty good.
Matches the weathered green under the straps perfectly.
Looks old but taken care of.
Pics tomorrow in the daylight if it stops raining.

I made lids for the compartments but the baize i bought is more red and less maroon.
Need oil bottle and turnscrews.

Front is redyed strip on bottom is original faded green pretty good match.
