16 Bore O/U Howdah Pistol

I know it's been a while since I posted a new project, that's because I've mostly been building things that are similar to projects I've already posted so there was no sense in reposting the same stuff. Finally though I have a new project to post.
I could have posted this in the Muzzleloading section or in the Handguns section but I see it more as a companion piece to a double rifle. If a moderator want to move it though that is good by me.
This is a semi-close reproduction of a 16 Bore Over/Under D. Egg Howdah Pistol.

Very nice Colin.
And rifled barrels no less. Tell me that this thing is regulated?
Have to make one of those captive rods for my .58

Colin - If you decide to start producing these, I'll sell my seven grandkids, four kids, three ex-wives, BOTH mistresses, and my 1967 Ford Galaxy to buy one.
In a less humorous vein - beautiful work, and I'd sure as God made gerbils buy one.

Awesome gun! Does it fire a round ball or conical? Whats the velocity you're getting from that short barrel, out of interest?

Nice Colin. Whad does the left lock/breech look like? Long nose on hammer to strike a lower nipple? Long flash tube with normal height BOLSTER?
MY enquiring mind would like to know.

Cool, all the photos worked this time AND I could copy them as is for archiving without going through seven pages or more as in the past.
