Hey guys, anyone know the maker or caliber of this? Looks to be a 450 (BPE?)? Probably way off. Anyways, cool looking rifle. |

Very long forend. |

These pictures show very well that the characters were shooting with the hammers at half cock. I noticed that in the film but never realized just how long that forend is. Still, the Matilda scenes were pretty much the highlights of the film. |

Not only the forend, the barrels are extremely long as well. Looks like one meter / 40" at least - we don't even see the front sight on the pictures. fuhrmann |

Bolted locks, non rebounding hammers - quite early? Interesting to examine closer with long fore-end and barrels, and to find the maker TH44 |

That isn't the same rifle shown in the film. Possibly the action and stock but the wedge for the forearm is much further back from the front end. There might even be a second wedge not shown because it's under his hand. |

So they took the cosmetic "extensions" off for the auction: probably would have realized a higher price as a genuine movie "prop" than as a working ULH that may well have stuffed bores..... Any word on the bore condition? (sorry, facebook page won't open for this non-believer! ) Anyone here buy it? |
