I am going to see a double that is for sale. It is a BSW in 8x57JR. The pictures looked great. I have no knowledge of this maker does anyone know? He thinks the gun was made in 1933. That is all I know for now. Any info would be helpful. Thanks in advance. Ken San Antonio |

A beautiful rifle. I dont understand the claw mount. It has the standard at the front and the rear is a single which is outboard the left barrel at at the rear. Horn trigger guard, with a cartridge trap in the butt plate. The case is in good condition, and is not partitioned for a scope. Ken San Antonio |

I think BSW means: ""Berlin Suhler Waffen- und Fahrzeugwerke" (BSW)". The firm was located in the former East-Germany (DDR). In 1934 they added "Simson & Co " to the name. |
