458 Lott Cases Wanted
|
|
I am trying to find some .458 Lott cases but I cannot find them in any gunshop in Oz. Does anyone have any .458 Lott cases lying around that they don't need?

Try this mate, they have stock! I think they're Bertram Brass, it wouldn't worry me if they were one bit! I have them in 577-450 Martini Henry, my batch is pretty consistent overall.

If you can get some .375 H&H cases you could try blowing them out to 458 Lott. Make sure to anneal before each stage.

Or - if new .375H&H brass, neck up to hold a .458 bullet and fireform. bingo-done - then anneal, trim to length if necessary to square up case mouth.
That is how I made .50 Alaskan cases - necked .348" brass to .50 - one pass, then seated a .50 cal. bullet and fireformed - done.
