Rigbymauser, SIMPLEX here in Oz make a few more dies than they have advertised - worth a try mate. I have more than a few of their dies including the 577/450 Martini Henry, all are of very good quality to say the least. http://simplexreloading.com.au/contact/

Can 2-3/8” or 10.3x60 dies work with the expander removed or dialed back? My 450/400 3” dies can be used to form 3-1/4” brass this way.

I was thinking to cut .450 nitro brass down to 73mm...the ram them up into a 450/400 3¼" die. It seems that the .450/400 Purdy and the 450/400 3¼" express has the body only the 3¼" case has lo ger neck.
I have looked through gun and cartridgebooks I have and no 450/400 2 7/8" shows up with case specs. George Hoyem books has the cartridge shown but skips the case specs.(thats was actually the only case where case specs wasnt there.)

I'd run with that method.
