Barrel - .275 Rigby or 7x57 Mauser
|
|
Chrome-Moly barrel for 7x57 or .275 Rigby, brand new- never fitted or fired (mint bore), threaded for 98 Mauser, total length 25 7/8 inches. Threads were greased and barrel was hand-fitted to my action momentarily to check that it fitted about 5 years ago, been in aircon storage ever since. Maker unknown but suspect Lothar Walther, you may recognize the markings on the breech-face. Bought for a British Classic Sporter build on a cleaned-up VZ-24 action I had, thinking I would never find an affordable Rigby or Jeffery original, but then a genuine pre-WW1 'best quality' Rigby fell into my lap! Better this barrel see some use than gathering dust in my gunsafe. $340 firm. Price is posted in Australia.
FYI: thread on the Rigby .275 that rendered this barrel surplus to my requirements is here.
If there is no interest it will go on OzGunSales next week. Thanks for looking.

That is a bloody steal Marrakai! If my old Parker Hale's barrel was U/S I would snavel it in a flash!

It would have sold here instantly. If I had bought it. For my future 7x57, however, spending the cash right now would get me in trouble.
