1885 Alex Henry Take-Down Falling Block - 450bpe - cased w/ scope & all accessories
This was my first (and the most favorite) of all of the guns in my collection. But now I've decided to concentrate on Double Rifles. So, I'm offering my Alexander Henry Falling Block up for sale or TRADE. This is one of only a very few cased guns complete with scope and all loading accessories.
Documentation confirms all is original. Lots of pictures tell the story. PM with questions.
27K or will consider a Double Rifle of Equal Value in trade, or one of lesser value and cash.
Photocopy of the Factory Ledger Entry for this rifle.
Original Envelope & Bill-of-Materials for this rifle.
Comes with Original 1885 Instructions. The only know Original Instructions for an Alexander Henry Single Shot Rifle.
Nubby Buck harvested with this rifle in 2013.

Thanks Buckstix that is a fantastic piece of history there.
You certainly have a very rare bird that has been kept in remarkable condition!
Hopefully this grand old lady will find another loving home to reside in soon.

Yes, that's what I'm hoping. Right now I'm too consumed in double rifles to be side-tracked with a single shot, even if its one of the finest I've ever seen. I sure hope I don't come to regret it - after it finds a new home.
In answer to a recent question: Rifle take-down feature is "tight-as-new" and both chamber and bore are bright with no signs of corrosion or wear.

I hate to say this Buckstix, but the more I look at this one the more I think that this one will be THE one that you will REALLY regret letting go!
My advice now is not to sell mate, but that's just my view.
It is fantastic to have such wonderful photos in NE for posterity for all to view, so thankyou for letting us mere mortals just drool looking at it!
