WTB: 50-110 Win Brass in Australia.

Any 50-110 brass out there?

I wouldn't mind finding a pile of Starline, but even a couple to load up a dummy or two would be nice so I can have LEE make me up a factory crimp die in preparation for a rifle at Turnbulls that is nearing completion.

Could try Bertram Bullet Company Pty Ltd. I don't think he has a website but his number is (03) 5792 2912.

Thanks, tried calling them yesterday and was told to send them an email to the address they gave me. Still waiting to hear back from them... Might call again.

Does anybody know if anything is wrong at Bertrams? I've written them a few times ovrr the past couple weeks and tried again today and am now getting delivery failure notices due to the recipient account not existing. I sent them to b.bertram@bigpond.com

Re: WTB: 50-110 Win Brass in Australia.

Rich,
I had trouble with Bertram brass in mine, ended up being too large in front of the rim, and had no relief groove cut in front of the rim either. Once I chucked them up in the lathe and skimmed a bit off the back of each case, cut the relief cut, trimmed them to an even length, uniformed the flash holes and uniformed the primer pockets, they were OK to use.
Which is why I then went and bought Starline, they worked straight off.
However, my chamber is fairly tight as well.

Thanks DC,

Will keep that in mind. Did you import the Starline yourself, or find a source over here?

Re: WTB: 50-110 Win Brass in Australia.

Ordered it through my LGS, took a while, but NIOA were happy enough to add it to an existing order, had to buy 250 minimum though. You might be able to buy it cheaper direct from Starline, but I couldn't have been bothered with the paperwork!
