Sold!!!!!

Curl,
I'm shocked at you. I figured a collector of stature would surely know that .500 BPE rifles should be kept in even numbers

Good point; but even so, I don't think I have broken that rule. I have two .500 3" BPE rifles and one .500 3-1/4" BPE rifle. I also have a .500 3" NE rifle that can be counted, because it is capable of shooting the BPE load.

That interprets to four rifles in .500 caliber. Adding another would throw me into an odd number.

Congrats on your sale. It is lovely.

Re: Charles Lancaster .500 3" BPE

I'm planning my first .500 3" soon(the Lancaster was a consignment). Rebuilding an SR Jeffery Jones under-lever single. It started out life as a .58 caliber percussion rifle, then converted to centerfire at a later date. I am going to build an ovate barrel for it. The muzzleloader conversions really appeal to me. Likely because of the amount of work involved and these conversions were only undertaken on high quality guns.
