Im clearing some commercial Mausers to make room. This is a nice B type, part round, part octagon with full length rib in 9x57 Rear sight is interesting, not the normal tangent you expect to see. If it a replacement, then its an early one. Jon Speed thinks it is likely to be a replacement . There appears no alteration to the dovetail cut in the rib. I have not removed the sight to check the normal part number is underneath. Normaly it is located on one of the blades. Bore is VG/Excellent, nice wood and all numbers matching. A very nice honest example with no refinishing. Price$3900 Best Eric |

If that rear sight is not original, I certainly don't care. That rifle is stunningly gorgeous. I am partial to Type A's, but a Type A has nothing on that Beauty! What a lovely rifle! Matt |
