I have a few rifles for sale. First couple. Prices are negotiable and I'm not looking for any trades. I am giving Nitro Express members the first crack at these too. Prices do not include shipping. Westley Richards 1881 side lever Harlan Howe custom. Chambered in 30-40 Krag - medium heavy barrel. Leupold 3X9 Vari-X II (slight bend in the objective bell) on Buehler mounts. What I call a “Rockabilly” custom which is very usable as it is as an example of an American custom falling block or a basis of a full return as a proper English sporting rifle. $2700 Mauser Oberndorf TypeB 9X57 SN81332 circa 1914 (all #s match) Noris 4X rail mount scope. 23” barrel. DST. Great bore. Has been refinished a some point but the stamps are very clean and crisp. The wood is a bit shiny and the checkering looks like it was refreshed. Overall a really good Oberndorf for the man wanting an example which won’t break the bank and in a very usable chambering for North American hunting - thinking pigs and deer. $2500 |

Second batch on offer: Ruger M77RSM 416 Rigby SN 750-02128 Pretty much a new gun. Will throw in a box of Federal ammo too! $1250 Mauser Oberndorf TypeG Sporter SN 109491 circa 1931 Good news is that it is a coveted square bridge with scope rings (modern). Chambered in 8X60. Bad news is, the barrel has a little buldge in it so really a candidate for a rebarrel to 9.3X62 or ?? And there is a bit of a gouge in the right side of the forend. Otherwise a fine commercial action which could again be the basis for a great custom or even returned to the quite rare TypeG configuration. $2500 |
