I'm very new to collecting and was hoping there were some books available on the subject. Any sugestions? FRJ

Look at German Gun Collectors Association.
www.germanguns.com
They have a good book selection.
A great reference is European Sporting Cartrtidges by W.D. Dixon.
It may be hard to find, but the above sometimes has it.

I own a book called THE HISTORY AND DEVELOPMENT OF SMALL ARMS AMMUNITION VOLUME 3(British Sporting Rifle Cartridges) by George A. Hoyem.
Can't say anything about the other volumes because I never seen them but this one has a lot of information on British cartridges.
