Just got involved in cartridge collecting - advice requested

I was planning to buy a Vergueiro rifle but the seller of one that I posted about over here accepted my offer and thend ecided not to sell. However, in the meantime, I found a box of mint 6.5mm Kynoch Portuguese Mauser sporting ammo and I am hoping to start collecting cartridges from this very humble beginning. I have, on order, 8x57JS sporting ammunition from five different European manufacturers in original paper boxes and hope to buy more.

As I have not done this before, I would request the experienced members here, when you have time, to please post some tips / hints about collecting cartridges. These would help beginners like me just like your experience helps as far as buying guns is concerned.

Thanks in advance and happy collecting!

Mehul,
Is your interest primarily in boxes or single examples?
Also, are you looking to collect sporting rounds only or the whole gamut of cartridges?
Originals only or modern loads of classic cartridges?

As you know, once you get started it can get hard to pull the reigns back - there will always be some cartridge you don't have or simply don't know of.

I can spare a few rounds, so do you have a "wish list" to get your new hobby off the ground?

I have a few .264 Winchester Magnum(inert) if you're interested. Be glad to send one your way.

Are you looking for emptys or inert shells to build a ctg. board?
