Sent through a couple of designs of knives I like to Jeff to put his own spin on and make for me. I wanted a full size knife with a blade just over 6" and made to work. It is made from ATS 34 High Alloy stainless steel hardned to 59 Rockwell and has a black Micarta handle. He was great to deal with and a total gentleman. Hope you like it as much as I do. Cheers Neale. [URL=http://s956.photobucket.com/user/FATBOY404/media/P8260003_zps3f58a2e9.jpg.html][/UR |

That's a beauty for sure. Local knife making chap does a similar style but with full width haft and laminated scales - quite nice. I really like the red micarta banding, too. |

That's a goodlooking well finished hunting knife. A smart looking sheath to go with it. I hope it's lucky for you as well. Clive. |

That is a good looking knife FB. I do like micarta for handles. Looks like he does a fair job with leather work as well. |

Finally got to use it this arvo. I head shot a little goat for meat with the 9.3x57. It balances beautifully. I was a little worried that the handle would be slippery when wet but there is enough shape to the handle and it doesn't seem to get slippery at all. The goat I shot. Dressed out to cool overnight. You can see how I put the front legs through the flanks as this helps them get rid of the heat and puts the shoulders in a better position. I will go and "pelvis hang " him in an hour or so to put the hind 1/4's in a better position as well. |

Here he is ready for the freezer. Even with the animal fat and cold hands the knife was "positive" in my hand. |
