Bonjour , Since a couple of days I own a BRNO ZKK 602 in 460 Wby. its SN is in this range : 9400 to 9500. Does some one has an idea of his date of production ? I will need to replace the current recoil pad, it was in natural rubber I guess and is totally worn. some idea ? Pachmayr or ...? I still have read various posts on the forum on the 460. Did not remember who owns such a rifle. Don't hesitate to PM me , I will need to organize a "learning curve" for reloading. No emergency Merci à tous / Best regards / Thanks Philippe |

Philippe The date of production of the ZKK series is a 2 digit number on the left hand side of the front of the receiver where the locking lugs would engage Eg '63'! I hope yours has the peep sight - wonderful rifle the BRNO's The latest type pads are with sorbothane with really takes the bite out of sharp recoil. The days of the 'rubber' type ones are very much numbered now, a simple squeeze test will easily find which is which. There is plenty of info about on the 460 Weatherby, best in my opinion if downloaded to 450 Rigby levels, search amongst the reloading archive here & see how you go. One of our very experienced French members also uses and much likes his .460 Why Magnum. GV may chime in. |
