I bought this gun a year ago and just fired it for the first time this week. Oh, but I saved the best for last. I told you I shot it earlier this week. I made a video of my first two rounds through it. I promise you will enjoy it. Watch it here: Greener 10b Ball Gun - First Two Shots by Me. Here's the target I shot in the video: And here's a look at two loaded and four fired cases: This gun is really bad-ass! Curly |

DAMN CptCurl! That is one gorgeous gun! She's way too pretty to stay locked away at home all the time. Glad to hear you got her some new dancing shoes (size 10 of course!) and are taking her out to play. Have fun! J |

Fantastic Curl!! I wondered who scooped that gun up. (Maybe I knew…) Doesn’t everybody need to have a short range Tiger gun? I know I do!! |

Wow Roscoe, what a beautiful and interesting gun! Awesome video too by the way. Even with such a big bore, it still looks nicely balanced and appears to be in great condition as well. What a sweet find, but you always seem to be able to track down the rare ones. Thanks for showing us this beauty. |

Curly - good to see you. You're holding up well. Been 3 years since I was there. Beautiful gun indeed. Well done and presented. Good stuff. Even hit the target. Thanks for the thread and video. |

Marvelous stuff Curl! Love the heavy bore guns. Very high grade. ...and hammerless! Pure class. Not many left in that condition. Really glad its in your custody. ...and having its barrels warmed again! |

This gun is made on my very favorite boxlock action - the Facile Princeps. It's impossible to file the sleek lines you see here on an A&D action, because the cocking levers of an A&D protrude straight out the front of the bars. The cocking levers of the Facile Princeps action curve inward to articulate off the back of the forward barrel lump. That gets them out of the way and allows the front of the action to be tapered in such a beautiful fashion. (This diagram image is from the Hallowell & Co. website.) This shaping of the action allows for the most graceful splinter forend. And oh yeah, it's definitely a cat gun. Darryl, you need to come here again, and I need to come to Prince George again. That will happen, once travel returns to normal. Tammy and I cherish the friendship we have with you and Tracy. Curly |

Marrakai, You posted while I was composing my latest post. Thanks for your kind comments. I also hope for the day when I can visit you in Darwin again. That was such a lovely dinner we had. You must come to Virginia and help keep these barrels warm. Cheers, mate! Curly |

Here's a close-up of the shield. Would anybody be able to identify the owner? A crown appears on the toplever also: It is a stunningly beautiful gun. But a Grade F Royal Facile Princeps should be! Curl |

Don't you just love Greener's slogan? GREENER'S WROUGHT STEEL, INDESTRUCTIBLE BY GUNPOWDER. (I apologize for this poor quality photo. It's one I took with my phone under poor light. The barrel inscriptions are crisp and as-new. Not washed out at all.) Curl |

I hate to admit to my continued indiscretions, but this past Friday I became the owner of another large bore, high grade Greener Facile Princeps: an 8b duck gun, Grade FHT45 with ejectors. Why? I don't know. The check goes out today. Stay tuned. Curly |

The FP is my favorite Greener action as well. Very nice. |

Absolutely beautiful. "Daryl, you need to come here again, and I need to come to Prince George again. That will happen, once travel returns to normal. Tammy and I cherish the friendship we have with you and Tracy. Curly" You made my eyes get wet. I concur. (Oh - I corrected the spelling of my name lol) |

Quote: Curl, you are a glutton! and There, but for the grace of his accountant, goes Marrakai! Certainly looking forward to the end of international travel restrictions. Sitting at home for the best part of two years has been difficult, that's for sure. I definitely owe you guys across the pond a visit! Still unsure whether the Big Game Rifle World Titles will go ahead next year, was to be held in Oz Sept 2020, hosted by our modest but enthusiastic little club in Darwin. The 10-bore Greener would be perfect for Bore Gun and Black-Powder Stopper! |

Certainly! Elk and even baited bears, yes, most everything from a tree, too, or called in on the ground. It is exciting to have a big bull moose within 10 feet of your (archer) hunter, & he didn't shoot, just gawked in marvel at such a big beast, so close. |

Excellent Roscoe. Particularly enjoyed the video. And I do hope Darwin is still the next host of the Big Game international shoot. Only thing in the way is govts ... Govts need to be TOLD or forced to get out of people's lives ... |

Quote: I don't know how I missed this one Capt, but you certainly have great tastes when it comes to dancing partners, really well put FlatTop45 with the size 10 shoes!!! Must say the video was very well done indeed, I think you would have a line up a mile long for folks wanting a turn of that little beauty of yours! I really hope you find out the name on the tag & as to having you folks over here for a BGR shoot, it would be a real honour to do so. Can't wait to see the other Greener you acquired as well! |

That's a really beautiful Greener. At what range did you fire the two shots to give a 4 inch group? Regards AlanD |
