Bloody ripper Mick, lovely stock with a nice touches such as the neck tie behind the pistol grip. Good choice of scope, great caliber. Really well done. Good to see that those Woodleigh bullets are working well. Waidmannsheil. |

Great find 264! What a beautiful and nicely-crafted classic rifle. Glad to see you've already put her to work doing what she was made to do. Good hunting! J |

Very nice purchase. From SA as well. Does the CZ also have the pop up peep sight? |

Good one Mick! Very hard to beat a ZKK602. Good to have QD's on your scope - just in case! You can get a QD red dot base for them too http://americanhuntingrifles.com/?page_id=72 93x64mm |

No pop up peep sight. Well made and easy to align open sights regulated at 70m with woodleigh 400 gr RNSP. Looking forward to some in close buff hunting with open sights this year. Im over the wet season, wish this monsoon rain would go away......... Cheers Mick |

Very good pick up Mick. Glad you putting it to good use. |

Very nice and the normal trigger too, not the single set which is good but just positioned too far forward in the bow. Looks like it might hold 4 down? |

Does the CZ also have the pop up peep sight? The CZ doesnt come with the pop up sight but the CZ custom shop will install one for around $300.00 US |

Splendid hunting rifle. I am still kicking myself for selling my 602 in .375H&H, back in 1975. |

Sweet piece of working art there Mick. Thanks for the look. |

Gorgeous! How many does a 602 hold down in .404? |
||||||||
|
|
|||||||
Holds 5 down. Put it to good use the other day. Busted up a mob of pigs with it, four out of the mob with some nice running shots. Had to be artistic with the pics they were busted up pretty bad by the 350 woodies. Cheers Mick |

If you want to get into casting Mick, Dave Commons who run Cast Bullet Engineering has great moulds in a lot of calibres including those for the .404J. http://www.castbulletengineering.com.au/bullet-moulds/rifle/404-calibre Eagle27 & Von Gruff are the experts on Light-Medium loads for this great round, which are better suited for pigs etc. I have used their loads & they are rather accurate - just not on any game yet! |

Mick, Love the .404 - a great find indeed! I am a fan of almost anything BRNO with the ZKK series being a particular favorite as a practical rifle. Interesting that Tony Small chose to put a "chin strap" on his stocks that is quite similar to those done by Thomas Shelhamer - who was the stock maker for the Niedner Rifle Company - and others. Would love to own it and good on you for putting it back into the field where it should be.......... |
