100 Years of the ,375 Holland & Holland

I realise this is 5 months late but!

As a tribute to the cartridge, post a picture of your .375 H&H Rifles, tell some tales of them perhaps.

Anyone here planning on buying a rifle so chambered this year? (I may be the only one here without one..)

Hooray for the H&H!

Hi Ash,

Better late than never. This is my Custom CZ550 in.375H&H which I have called "Father" and my Custom CZ550 in 30.06 which I named "Son" both had the metalwork done by Alex Beer (Gunsmith) Stocks by Ross Waghorn with the engraving done by Ron Croxon. I have done a complete story here on NitroExpress of their construction.

Cheers for now,

Jeff Gray

I sold my .375 a little while ago, so as to afford to build this one. Still in the making.

It is one of the square bridge '98's that John Saunders was doing in the 80's or 90's.
The pictures were taken just after I took possession and show a patina of rust. This was very light and has been polished off.
The hideous bolt handle has also been changed.

Stock wood is locally grown (Dungowan) walnut. Dense as buggery. But when cut into blanks, they tried to get too many stocks out of the wood they had and so I have to be very careful with the layout. I've laid a Westley richards stock that I have over it and it does fit....just.

Stock wood pictures show dry and a quick light spray of water.

It will be fitted with a octagonal Lothar Walther barrel (which I import) with integral full length rib and integral front sight base.

FYI--there is actually a pretty good article on the .375 H&H in the latest SportAfield mag..

Have to agree---IF you only had one rifle this would certainly do it all..but then, why in the hell would you have only one rifle..
