International Big Game Rifle Shoot South Africa 1 Sept 2012
To all,
Some information about our International Big Game Rifle shoot to be held in Pretoria, South Africa on 01 September 2012. The shoot is being sponsored by Safari & Outdoor and they will be arranging accommodation near the range. The contact person is Bryan Betton – contact details below. The attachments are (1) a proposed shoot format, please note the entire match can be shot with just one rifle. (2) a copy of an article that appeared in Magnum Magazine about the shoot. (3) some photos of the targets.
International guests will be made very welcome – if you are planning a business or hunting trip through, or to, South Africa around this time you may be able to reserve this day to come along to the shoot.

I like the practical manner of these South African shoots, moving, running and shooting. Using game targets not silly little round circles ...

I'll be there for the shoot in South Africa and I might also mention that the BGR club of NSW are trialling some South African style events to make our shooting more hunting orientated and, hopefully, a lot more fun!

I have it on good authority that the Australian team of Andrew Hepner, Bob Christopher and Greame Wright was the winning team in the International Big Games Rifle Club shoot in south Africa last weekend. Bob Christopher was second out right with Graeme Wright Third. Great effort by the guys and congratulations to all competitors.

Bob Christopher and I catch up every now and then in his professional role and always manage to get some 'gun talk' ,he advised he was off to SA when i last spoke to him.
Its no small wonder that he does really well in these shoots as the amount of big bore shots he takes and he does every week is amazing,really amazing!He must have an iron shoulder!
