Membership Announcement

Nitro Express has reached another milestone. As of this moment, we have reached the 4000 members plateau. Our newest member is Tarppi, and he hails from Finland. With that said, I would like to welcome Tarppi to Nitro Express. I would also like to thank all of our members whose participation and involvement have made this web site the best double rifle, hunting, and shooting sports web site on the web. Without our members, that wouldn't be possible. And a special thanks to NitroX for providing this great site as a place to share information, and enable others to learn. If you haven't done so recently, I ask that each member encourage a friend, to register and join us here. Thank you all.

I totally agree, especially about the website being "The Best" on the web with the quality and quantity of information available and the way that members treat each other all helps make it that way.

Welcome Tarppi! Some people may take their favorite websites for granted, but when the the site went down over a year ago, I found myself lost with out it. Nitro Express is great!

hallo to all users of NitroExpress,

i just registered to this great site as of today. my name is norbert and i am from germany, frankfurt i am collecting and dealing in fine firearms over the last decade. based in germany and austria. within the last years i was fortunate to get in contact with many fine people all over the world, some of them i met already personally the others i hope to meet in the future.
i try my best that i can contribute a little bit to the profund knowledge and expierience of most of the memebers of this platform.

Hi Norbert, you have a fantastic website which I look at regularly. When ever I am having a bad day at work or something isn't going right, I have a look at some of the magnificent guns on your website, and off I go with renewed vigor. I am particularly interested in the Bockdoppelbuechse from Ludwig Schivy as owned by Herman Goering. Is it possible to get hold of the photos to print as your website doesn't seem to allow it, at least not for me.
Anyway, good to have you on board as a new member.

Thank you Norbert. You are very kind, and thank you especially for the article. I have been trying to get hold of a copy with no luck. I read and write German so there are no problems with the article being in German. I was looking at the Kipplaufbuechsen in the Waffengalerie during my lunch break, you really have some beautiful rifles in that gallery. The one thing you need more of though is photos of the locks and the inner workings of Drillings and Vierlings which are always very interesting. Otherwise superb.

Hi everybody young and old hunters,

My name is Banucu Ioan and I am from Romania( Transylvania) . What can I say I am not a vampire...:D. By profession I am forester and hunter as well. Today I signed up and what can I say, it is a great site. Since I was a kid I was fascinated by hunting, wild life and of course guns. I seen the the first double barrel rifles in early 90 S (after the death of Ceausescu ) when the borders were reopened for the foreign hunters...of course in those time I was a kid. At the moment I am working in wild life management and as outfitter as well. Bears we have a few ....one day will be eat.. by them ... few weeks ago was shot one ...and seems the skull will be the new world record for this subspecies(Eurasian brown bear)-70,35 CIC
I seen you are from Australia Queensland. Last September were 2 hunters from Australia (Queensland) for red stag hunt. It was a great experience&hunt . We worked for the trophies almost a week ...check out this short movie ( is not professional)...but I hope you gonna like it..
