Hope I'm not being too boring here! - but I'm 99% sure that Elephant is Abu (now dead) from Abu's Camp in the Okavango Delta of Botswana and star of many movies including White Hunter, Black Heart. If it is him, he's wearing carbon fibre tusks in the picture.
The same photographer also did all the images for the book 'Elephants for Africa' by Randall J moore. It's a stunning book (but bloody expensive)
The pic is very similar to a set done with the same Elephant by Mirella Rocciardi who is one of the Douglas Hamilton family.
I might forget a face, even a pretty face - but I hardly ever forget an Elephant!
