Do it! Have not hunted there, but a friend went there to see the gorillas. Go for the difficult/steep walk to see them, not the easy one. |

Absolutely should go there. A couple of guys I shared a train cabin with in Kenya in 1988 were heading there. In the bad old days just after the worse days of Idi Amin. Maybe Obote was back in charge again after Amin? I tried to get the two Kiwis to invite me along, but alas ... The Pearl of Africa. It was known as in colonial days. Churchill waxed lyrical about it. Thre lanmd of the greatest elephant hunter of all time. Maybe. WDM Bell, Karamojo Bell. Walter Darymple Maitland Bell. The jumping off area for the Gentlemen Adventurer hunters and poachers into the Lado Enclave. The place were God's Own means bullets bounce off their black skins ... Yes go hunting the gorilla with a camera. I would go in an instant. What will you be hunting? Doesn't matter go anyway. |

Nile buffalo would be attractive. Is the Uganda Sitatunga a different breed fromt he Southern/Zambian species and wherever else they exist? A visit to the mountain gorillas will be a bucket list experience. Maybe a female will take a liking to big Ripp and get interested. |

I can’t comment on hunting there, although the thought has crossed my mind several times, but hiking in the mountains in search of gorillas is definitely one of my most memorable experiences. Being surrounded by several gorillas at once, and having a big silverback pass by us within arms reach, was simply amazing. |

Quote: Yes the Sitatunga are a bit different and counted as such by SCI-- or so I was told... Agree Nile buffalo would also be fun... As to romance.. I'm too old to be chasing those young gals around the mountains.. |
